Happy Friday, friends! Are you looking forward to the weekend? I’ve been busy planning two get-togethers: a Super Bowl party and a Valentine’s Day gathering next Saturday. Do you enjoy planning parties? It can be hectic and a little stressful, but it’s always rewarding to share time with family and friends.
With all the party prep, I haven’t had much time to finish my Valentine’s decor. My Valentine’s Day garland has been a bit lonely the last few weeks. Last night I decided to create a small canvas to add to our display. The great thing is everything I used is removable, so the canvas can be reused or updated later.
To make the canvas I started with a strip of houndstooth glitter paper and used a corner rounder punch for a softer edge. I attached the paper strip with glue dots, then hot-glued a ruffled ribbon along its length. Hearts were cut with my Cricut in two sizes and secured on top of the ribbon with hot glue. To finish, I cut the word love from vinyl and applied it to the canvas.
I LOVE how this canvas turned out!
Houndstooth
Glitter
Pink
Ruffles
Hearts
It’s cute, simple, and girly—just my style.
If you follow me on Twitter, you might have seen the messy aftermath of creating this. Tell me I’m not the only one whose kitchen counter ends up looking like a craft zone!
Have a wonderful weekend, friends! I’ll be back on Monday with a Super Bowl party recap.
