Strawberry Sunshine Smoothie Recipe for Bright, Creamy Refreshment

I have another smoothie recipe to share: the Strawberry Sunshine Smoothie. I developed this one over the weekend and named it for its bright color and sunny flavor. It pours like sunshine and tastes just as cheerful. After this post I’ll give the smoothie recipes a short break — I’ve shared several lately, but they’ve been irresistible.

Speaking of smoothies, my husband and I stopped at Whole Foods during lunch and grabbed fresh, all-natural smoothies — hands down the best meal of the day. A cold smoothie is especially welcome when the sun is out. Lately Boise has been sunnier and the days are getting longer, though the winds still feel crisp. Is it warm where you are? If not, I hope spring reaches you soon.

I’ve been wearing flip-flops every day this past week, even though it’s probably not quite flip-flop weather yet. I worry I’ll catch a cold, but these healthy smoothies feel like a little boost to my immune system — a tasty encouragement to get more fruit and vegetables into my day. Drink your fruits and veggies, and enjoy the sunshine when it appears.
